He ALWAYS keeps things close to the vest. You never know what is going on in his head because he never talks about his feelings. He likes showing off a tough exterior and keep people guessing. I have lots of platonic male friendships, we do different things together, movies, drinks, I even bring them to weddings as my date! Would I bring them to a family dinner....probably not. I suppose he would only be sending the wrong message if she liked him and he did not like her back, but kept inviting her to such things. Otherwise if they're just friends then invite away! A friend just bought me a rose on my bday.....I don't think he wants in my pants, it was just a nice gesture.
