One-Hit Wonders Repeat!

August 29, 2008

My three pitch team won the finals last night and won back-to-back championships. It took a few innings but by the 6th inning we were in control with a 24-12 lead. It wasn’t a pretty night because it was raining pretty much all night but luckyly not raining very hard. It was a fun season playing with them.

Let’s go to the Ex!

August 27, 2008

I am not a fan of “The Ex” (The Toronto Exhibition) but my Dad is and he really wanted to go. So I went with him on sunday. There were a lot of mid-way games that I looked at and thought I could win (but I choose not to waste any money), there was a lot of interesting food places and some interesting crafts at the craft show. At one point I was watching the guess the weight game. My Dad guessed the same amount as the worker did, i guessed a heavier weight and I got it correct. Dude got a prize, I got nothing.

What shocked me was how you could find any food you wanted “on a stick” at the Ex. You don’t believe me? Check out what I found.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall – Too much and too little at the same time

August 21, 2008

I saw the movie “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” last night. Wasn’t a classic but it was an alright comedy. But my main complaint is that it had too much Jason Segal and not enough Mila Kunis and Kristen Bell. We see Jason’s cock a bunch of times meanwhile we get close but never see Bell or Kunis’s breasts. So close but so far. :(

A weird ending to a Scrabble game

August 19, 2008

I played Scrabble with the Wonder Twins. At one point the score was tied at 97. The final score was 203 for me and Zan ended up with 94. One minute we had a nail-biter the next I blew them away!

Weekend Recap

August 18, 2008

Friday night, I stayed in because I was really tired, I had found myself at the baseball field every day last week and just needed a night off. I spent saturday helping my father finish his basement. I tried making plans for saturday night but my first two ideas fell through and I didn’t feel like going downtown with one group of friends. So I stayed at home. I felt like WIGSF. I decided that what is the weekend good for if I am spending both nights inside alone? I know some of you will say it is good for REST but I am not getting enough rest any ways (played a lot of video games, but more on that later).

I thought about my weekend when I was driving to a family function on sunday and I decided to change my anthem. Last year I had a knee injury, for a guy who has never had serious injuries this was a huge blow. I then took Kanye West’s “Stronger” as my personal anthem as I tried to heal and get back to playing sports. I played almost 40 baseball games this summer, I think I am pretty much back, so time for a new anthem. I have decided to pick Coldplay’s latest single, “Viva La Vida”. I enjoy the song (I am a fan of Coldplay’s music) and I think the message fits. When you are younger, you feel like the world is your oyster and that you “rule the world”. Didn’t feel like that this weekend, need to get that feeling back.

Family function was fun.

Finally saw “The Dark Knight”

August 7, 2008

It was a good movie, a LONG movie but a damn good movie. Ledger was great, I don’t think academy award great but great nonetheless. I think that the Joker was more well written in this one, I will give them that. I loved his magic trick.

Why can’t I post a video on Youtube?

August 5, 2008

I have been trying to post this video I filmed a couple of days but the screen just keeps on freezing.

Fireball Island

I don’t understand how so many of my friends don’t remember how to play this game.   I use to play this game with Andrew, it was so much fun.
