Sure I could talk about how WIGSF actually complimenting me on the results from my dieting and such because it was quite surprising when he typed the words. But the true compliment, the one that felt really good was when I was at my Grandparents a couple of days ago and my Grandfather complimented me on my weight loss. It was good to hear because over the last couple of years he has been ragging on my Grandmother every time she told me to “Mange! Mange!” and every time she tried to give me seconds or thirds. Now I need to bring a girl over and get him to stop talking about this girl he thinks he knows.

Honestly, I would be careful about bringing a ladyfriend over to meet nonna and nonno. The two of them are getting up there in years and if I was you, I wouldn’t want to surprise them too much. It can’t be good for their hearts. You would have to give them ample warning.
For example, warm them up.
Monday: “Hi nonno, I’m coming over for lunch on Sunday and I might bring a friend.”
Tuesday: “Hi nonno, I’m coming over for lunch on Sunday and I am bringing a friend.”
Wednesday: “Hi nonno, I’m coming over for lunch on Sunday and the friend isn’t the Cuchman.”
Thursday: “Hi nonno, I’m coming over for lunch on Sunday and my friend might be a woman.”
Friday: “”Hi nonno, I’m coming over for lunch on Sunday and my friend is a woman.”
Saturday: “”Hi nonno, I’m coming over for lunch on Sunday and this woman is my girlfriend.”
Sunday morning: “Hi nonno, I’m on my way and don’t show my girlfriend those photos you have of me as a baby without any diapers on. Or the all-denim family portrait.”
Because if your girlfriend sees the all-denim family portrait, she’ll have a heartattack.
