- Cundiff failed to tie the football game with time winding down. Hell, Lee Evans almost had a touchdown.
- Kyle Williams must feel like an idiot fumbling that ball and giving the opposition the win.
- I failed in the $80 challenge this week. A $40 dinner on tuesday with my brother and a friend got me off to a horrible start. I still tried hard but then on saturday night we went out for a friend’s birthday and spent another $40. If I had gotten Bobette to pay for saturday night I might have achieved the challenge but I decided to be a gentleman.
- Oh crap, I just noticed, I failed to fit the word “sandwich” into the content of my post.

Bummer!
Well, I do think being a gentleman is more important.
Perhaps next time Bobette can spring for dinner, though.

“Laces out Dan!”

HAHAHAHA! That makes me want to watch Ace Ventura.

The laces WERE out. He just missed.
Still, those losses are the hardest to take; when the game is lost over a mistake rather than being beaten by the opponent.
Nice job sneaking the word “sandwich” in there at the last minute too!

Laces out is a joke. I shout it any time I see a kicker shank a gimme. It’s a reference to Ace Ventura. A Dolphins kicker missed a field goal and blamed Dan Marino for not holding the ball with the laces out. You know what, rent the movie. It’s funny.

I understood the joke.

OOOOOHHHH, I get it. HA! Actually, it’s not a joke. The laces not being out is a big reason for shanked/pulled kicks.
Sorry, didn’t mean to be all serious-like.

I’m failing in the $80 challenge because Frankenvan needs fixed and I noticed today that my hot water tank is leaking. I think I need to lie down.
