Dis and Dat

– Last night I finally saw Metro and his wife.   Bobette met them for the first time.    We went to Lonestar restaurant.   I had the chicken fingers, they were really good.   I like the spices that are on the fries.

– I am adding a new challenge to help me get in shape.   Bobette and her roommate write checkmarks on a calendar every day they exercise.   I am going to start getting checkmarks.   I like the competition.

– Trying to renew my passport.    I want to do it in person since it is across the street from my work.   I need to get over there when there is no line.

– Got a full weekend of softball ahead of me.    Once it is done I will be down to only one league.

There was a Lonestar chicken finger shindig and I wasn’t invited.

  2. Bob Says:

When I was inviting you to everything, you would say “No” all the time so I stopped inviting you to everything and now you are complaining that you didn’t get a chance to say “No”? I can’t win with you.

Down here, Lonestar is a steak restaurant – is it the same up there? And if it is, how could you go to a steak place and not have steak?

Where are you planning on traveling to that you need to renew your passport? France? Italy? Spain? Greece?

And yay you finally got to see Metro! I know this is something that’s been bothering you for a long time.

In Canada, Lone Star is a tex-mex restaurant started by a football player. This guy came up to Ottawa to play for the (now defunct) CFL team in Ottawa. He was saddened by the absence of tex-mex food in Canada so he started making it himself and selling it at the stadium at games. It caught on. Now it’s a restaurant chain.

ANd what’s the deal with women and France?

      • DarcsFalcon Says:

No idea, but I’d just finished watching Ratatouille when I left my comment, and to be honest, I was wondering if maybe he was thinking of honeymoon spots.

You couldn’t pay me to go to France.

      • whatigotsofar Says:

Yeah, because he’ll get a say in the honeymoon spot, right.

I love your travel ideas. You will love the truth. I am going to Detroit. Yeah that is right, real glamorous. I am going there to watch my first NFL game!! Go Vikings!

    • DarcsFalcon Says:

Yay! The good ol’ USA! Woo!

And of course, the Lions don’t stand a chance against the Vikings, so that’s pretty much a guaranteed win for you. 🙂 You’re going to have such a fun time!

Hey, awesome! Congrats on the first NFL game! You’ll have a blast! Too bad it couldn’t be a Bears-Vikes game here in Chi-town, we could’ve come down to see you!

Have a blast, and glad to hear you finally got to see Metro!
