Dis and Dat

– I saw a commercial last weekend for Dairy Queen.   It showed fried chicken with country style gravy.   I could not believe that the gravy could be available at dairy queen.   One problem was that I wasn’t sure if the commercial was Canadian or American.    Here is what I have found out.   The chicken strip meal is only on for October and I am still unsure if it is available in Canada.   I had planned on checking yesterday but rain and other junk got in the way of that goal.

– I miss WIGSF’s blog.   I got into a routine reading it every morning.

– Started reading a Stephen King book.   It is called Desperation.   I am only 50 pages in but I think it has hooked me.   That is more than I can say for any other book I have picked up over the last couple of months.

– This weekend we are going to trade back cats.   Oliver is doing well at Bobette’s but I think Charlotte would be happier there.   I can tell you that I would much rather have Oliver back with me over Charlotte.

Thanks for the effort, but c’mon, Dairy Queen food? I don’t think I’m willing to make that effort.

Okay, first of all, I LOVE Dairy Queen burgers. Some of the best burgers I’ve ever had came out of little shack-type places and DQ. But it’s been a long time; maybe they’ve gone downhill. Don’t know if I’d eat fried chicken from DQ, though. Hm.

I miss WIGSF too. He doesn’t visit me anymore. *Sniff*

If King can’t hook you, no one can. I’d love to send you a copy of my book too and see how you like my style. 😉 (J/K…mostly.)

Ollie will like being home, I bet. He’s probably a little confused about what’s going on.

    Have an awesome weekend, bud!

DQ had awesome burgers, and so did Tasty Freeze. That BigT was a great burger. Our local DQ only does hot dogs. No fries, just chips. And, horror of horrors, they don’t steam their buns.

I miss WIGSF too. He was part of my routine as well. I tended to read his blog after my husband’s, if my husband had posted.

Ollie will be glad to be back home. I’m sure he’s missed you. 🙂

    I miss WIGSF’s blog, too.

Desperation is one of my favourite Stephen King books.

    Dairy Queen’s “country” gravy sucks.

A “Desperation” fan? Cool. It says “The Regulators” is a companion book. In what order should I be reading the two books?

  5. yellowcat Says:

I read Desperation first. I don’t think it really matters what order you read them in.
