Rocky Horror Picture Show

Bobette really wanted to watch this movie.   She has seen it before but I have never watched it.  There is a reason I have never watched it, what i saw of it, it never interested me.   Bobette probably wanted to see it because Glee did a “Rocky Horror” themed show on tuesday.    So we watched the movie together on sunday.   The movie was pretty much what i thought it would be.    It didn’t make sense, most of the songs were not entertaining to me.   I felt like the movie was a waste of time (lucky for me, I had the Vikings game on in the background and I could keep up with the game even though it was muted).    I understand why the movie has a cult following but it really isn’t for me.

The Glee episode that based itself on Rocky Horror.   It was probably even worse.   A couple of the songs were sung alright but John Stamos sung one song and well he sucked.   Meatloaf and Barry B. both had cameos in the episode.   While watching the episode I found out that Bobette is actually a bigger fan of the movie than I originally thought.   She knew a lot of the lyrics and knew when the Glee writers changed a word or two.    I guess this is one movie we are not going to see eye to eye on.

I’ve seen Rocky Horror. It was many years ago, but I caught the video version. I don’t think you could pay me to go to the theater to see it.

I am totally with you on this one! 🙂

Rocky Horror is how Americans do glam. And frankly, if Americans got glam, Bowie would on their money by now.

I’ve never seen it, but I’ve always wanted to.

Rumour has it, you have to see it in the theater with a bunch of people who are drunk and/or stoned. It helps if you are as well.
