Savage Dragon is Dead!

Maybe. You never know with comic books. After being the title character of his own comic book for almost 20 years, he was vaporized last week. His son is going to now be the title character. Dragon’s book was like no other. Unlike Superman and Spider-man where time moves slowly (or in some cases it feels like it moves backwards), in Dragon’s book, times moves at the same pace as the real world. Usually over an issue, a month passes. Sometimes it doesn’t but they catch up at some point. So this is why this change could be permanent. Dragon was getting older, his son is an teenager right now. It completely changes the dynamic of the book. This is something the creator of the book has liked to do over the course of the last 20 years. He likes to keep the book fresh. It is sad to see a loved character die but sometimes, it is just their time.ย  I have now posted a picture of Dragon with one of his friends.

Do you think this post will get as much hits as my “Nightcrawler is dead” post? I still get hits every week because of that one! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey, is Erik Larson (Larsen? Can’t remember now) still doing the art for SD? I remember the first few issues. It was a funny thing to see him (Erik) go from working on Amazing Spider-Man after Todd McFarlane did it and then BOOM! He’s over to Image. Next thing I knew, he’s RUNNING Image.

I remember when his house burned down in the fires which swept the Oakland hills in California back in like 1993 or whatever. He was still working for Marvel then.

Savage Dragon… it’s been a long, long time since I’ve seen one of those. ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes, Erik is still working on it. Damn you know a lot about him. I forgot all about the fire.

I bet you’ll get lots of hits on it. Comic books are still very popular. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Doesn’t look very savage.
