Games Night has begun!

We had Games night on saturday.   Although we didn’t have as many people attending as we originally anticipated, it was still A LOT of fun.   First we played a new game (to me) called “Upwords”.   This game was like Scrabble but you could put letters on top of each other.   The strategy is a lot different compared to Scrabble.   Every letter has the same point value.  I really want to play it again sometime soon.

The next game was picked by the girls.   They wanted to play “Marvel Scene It”.   They thought because it was somewhat based on Marvel Movies that they would be able to compete with me.   It was bad, they didn’t make it a quarter of the way through the game board before I won.  It was kindof funny, the questions they were getting were so hard, that even I didn’t know the answers to them, meanwhile I was getting what I believed were easy questions.   I had won two games in a row at this point and Bobette really wanted to make sure she beat me at least once.

The 3rd game we played was “Disney’s Scene It”.   I broke out to an early lead.   I got to the finish line first but had some trouble with the final questions.  Everyone caught up to me and all three of us got stuck at the “Final Cuts”.   Finally Bobette got three correct questions in a row and she was happy I lost.  I was also happy because I didn’t want to sleep on the couch.

I have some other games that I have never played, hopefully we can play one of them at the next games night!

Sounds like a lot of fun! What games are left untried?

Tons. Somebody has Settlers of Cataan, another Walking Dead game, my Michael Dickerson game and I also have some variation on poker. That is just four off the top of my head.

    I remember Upwords! 🙂

Game night sounds like a lot of fun! I wish I could go play with you guys. 🙂 Win, Lose, or Draw used to be popular, as was Trivial Pursuit, and there was one where the other team had to guess if you were telling a lie or not but I can’t recall the name.

I like Apples to Apples and The Game of Things.
